Karen Heggs, CEO/President of Little Hearts Home Health, brings over 20 years of dedication to the healthcare field and more than 15 years of specialized experience in pediatrics. Her career reflects a lifelong commitment to serving children and families with compassion, integrity, and unwavering purpose.  Karen began her clinical career immediately after high school, working in MRI—a role that introduced her to patient care and ignited her passion for healthcare. She later spent 9.5 years working in a pediatric doctor’s office, where she balanced both clinical and operational responsibilities. From triage and hands‑on patient support to coordinating daily work flows and ensuring smooth operations, Karen became a trusted presence for families and staff alike. These early experiences shaped her understanding of what high‑quality, family‑centered care truly requires.  Her leadership journey continued as she served as a Location Director for medically fragile children and later as a Director for children with autism. In these roles, Karen oversaw complex care needs, supported multidisciplinary teams, and advocated fiercely for children who required specialized, consistent, and compassionate support. Each position deepened her commitment to building systems that protect, uplift, and empower families navigating challenging medical journeys. With a Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Karen leads Little Hearts Home Health with both expertise and heart. Her passion has always been rooted in the medically fragile community—witnessing countless children grow, thrive, and even graduate from services has shaped her mission in profound ways. Every child’s journey fuels her drive to create a place where families feel supported, care is exceptional, and lives are changed for the better.
